in about 2 and half hours time..it will be 2008..
the past 365 days really flew by..it wasn't long ago that it was 2006..
2007 is a year that i am a student for a full year..haven been that for a while..maybe that's y the time really flies..

2008 has a potential to be a great year..will be looking forward to the next 366 days of 2008..

today is saturday..and wat am i doin at home? seriously..i got no idea..sad life i suppose..


不知不覺假期已經過了一大半了. 時間還過得滿快的. kinda think bout it..christmas is only in 10 days..and the beginning of the year seems only yesterday...dun talk bout all these liao..it only makes me sad and make me seems old..last nite i went to 愛琴海, not a bad place..and the drink was like extremely big..though keegan's drink was a bit of erm..artificial..haha..other than the comfort of the small chair..i suppose it is not a bad place to chill out..though it is rather hard to catch what the pple around u are talking cause ur mind will be engrossed with the music they play..hmm..ok..it may be that my sense of hearing ain't that good..


talking bout keegan's drink..it is actually strawberry drink..and there was this comment that guys and strawberry dun match..well..i suppose this is rather a myth..haha..cause i love strawberries..they are nice lor..haha..酸又有帶來一些甜味..perfect..haha..one more thing..strawberries dun grow on trees..they grow on bushes..haha..a picture of such bush is shown below..and no..it is not a tree..to short to be one..

new playlist..

i added a new playlist on my blog..decided to add because i find repeating the same track quite irritating and boring..will be slowly adding songs as i found out that it is not exactly that simple to do so..in fact..i took the past couple of hours figuring out how to create a playlist..got pretty frustrated and finally by accident i manage to find out how to do it..so this means that the help topic in the help section is not useful at all..no..actually i followed the confusing instruction and got myself even more confused..maybe that's y i am always not a fan of the help section..

it's been a while..
today is sunday..how some pple wish that everyday is sunday..
but today began with a devasting news from madejski stadium early yesterday morning..with a penalty that was not given to reading..and at least 3 clear cut penalties denied for the reds..not forgetting the crossbar saving the home team twice..bad luck..bad decision by the ref..cost the reds the game which they lost 3-1..wat a way to start the day..

after that i went for a badminton session at jurong west..a heavy downpour on my journey to the stadium..and when i reached boon lay temp interchange, i walked towards the 179 queue..i was astonished..the queue is very long..yes very long..then i was wondering..how come holiday still got so many pple..they go school for wat..i was forgetting something..today is sunday!! so where did all these pple go? who knows..so the bus eventually reached stadium..i tried to alight..after squeezing through the crowd of pple on the narrow aly..some idiot stopped on my slippers..and it took me a while to look for it while hopping on one leg..wat luck..haa..not forgetting that it is raining and that made my slippers slippery..after the session..went for lunch and made my way home..

on the way home..godfrey asked me to play pool..haa..in fact he wanted to play snooker..so i obliged him..tried something new..used my pool cue to play snooker..i played better using pool cue though..haha..but after the badminton session, i suddenly felt my cue become very very heavy..haha..couldn't play at first..but got used to it in the end..

so i went home after a tiring day..if u think my day ends here..nope the fun haven started..so i went home..want to relax..and tried to on my tv..something was very wrong at 1st..no pictures..no sound..no nothing..i thought the connection was loose..so i tried to reconnect the wires to the starhub set top..and switched off the power supply..then in the end the set top could not even be switched on..panic..so i called starhub..after the irritating press no here and there..finally got a customer service operator who is not from the cable tv side..instead is from the mobile phone side..and he said that i could ask the cable tv side pple to give me a call back within erm..how long? 48 hrs..i opted to call back in a while..so after a while of fiddling around with the set..i decided to give them a call again..this time is the correct pple that picked up the phone..and said that my box is faulty..sad..so i decided to wait for my parents to return home..and then take a drive down to starhub service centre..and where is it? a choice between vivo and PS..i chose vivo because it closes slightly later..on my way down to vivo it started to pour again..and driving at nite with heavy rain is really no fun at all..u cannot see anything..so i reached vivo..and finally changed my set top..reached home bout 45 mins ago..and only had my dinner then..finally settled..got tv to watch le..haha..

oh and after that i started to write this very long post..haha..
tom will be a better day..

world pool championship

time for another update..
recently in manila, there is this tournament going on where 128 players from different part of the world gather and compete for the world pool title in 9 ball. if u do not know, singapore actually send 3 players to compete in this tournament..but there were no official announcements..maybe the government dun like to promote pool around here cause it is deemed as not decent..y can't they be like taiwan where it converted from non decent into a national sports..and yes..pool is a sports..ok..enough bout this..unfortunately, only 1 of the players made it to the round of 64 and he got knocked out there..well..try again next year..
tom will be the round of 16 and another day of excitment is anticipated..
exams are sure a distraction to the world pool championship..

it's 3 am now in the morning..and i got no idea y am i still so awake..haha..
well..i finally logged into my facebook and tried to fiddle with it..haha..actually i got this account quite a while ago..except that i somehow lost the password..haha..dunno which password is it..got lazy to log in till like now..seems like everyone is playing with facebook..haha..

it seems that pple around me are getting really stressed up..though those pple that are stressed do not quite actually agree with me..well i can only say.. 當局者迷, 旁觀者清.(hope i wrote correct..haha..) then here comes the problem..i heard of pple saying that i am very relax..not quite the life of a EEE year 2 student..well..i can only say i take things very easy 很看得開..

after much consideration, i finally got my new cue yesterday..the hit was totally different and the cue is rather nice..oh yes..and i am selling my old cue at a very reasonale price too..interested can contact me..picture of my new cue is shown below..

oh well..last week was a busy week..but i thought after those quizes, it will be quite relax..i am wrong..totally wrong..for the past few days i had been busy with tech com report..the report is a total waste of time imho..and it will be an even more waste of time if u have our china friends(since when am i so nice..haa) in ur group.. i had a torrid time editing their english and suddenly i feel that my ang moh had become very very good..haha..so next time if got choice..try to avoid foreigners who have very different culture from us..u had been warned..haha..and i am really not kidding when i say their ang moh is really lousy..sometimes it make me wonder how they smoke it to university..oh well..stop dwelling bout this liao..haha..better get back to the report editing..hai..

this morning..was listening to the radio..and there was this news that was hinting that jose mourinho will be leaving chelsea..and by afternoon, it was in the headlines of various papers..jose really left chelsea! is that a good thing? well..the epl will definitely miss his comments and passion for the game..comments like "i am a european champion, i am the special one" to "the linesman scored that goal" will definately be missed..no other manager dare to say what he says..but there is a hope that he will stay in the EPL..maybe as a spurs manager if 'botak' Jol get sacked..haha..mourinho is definately a good tacitian..but it is the chairman that runs the board room..so..that is the harsh fact..oh ya..i predict this weekend chelsea is goin to struggle..

today was a long day and tiring day..well..every thurs is..long day in school..
oh well..that's life..recently..i had been browsing some nice forum from hk which literally have everything in it..torrents for dramas, movies..threads for everything popular which includes popular lifestyle and trendy fashion..and really..wat sold in hk is so much better than that in singapore..kh can vouch for it..singapore's clothes are getting more erm..towards the minority market..u know wat i mean..oh yes..and in that forum, there is a ringtone section, and i had dled some cool ringtones..haha..

ok..since i had reached home, i basically stoned for the past few hours..feeling really tired physically and mentally..and maybe this..cause me to think too much..think about everything..y this y that..y everyone having problem..y am i so free..y am i so lonely..y am i so normal..u get wat i mean..sorry if this is getting kinda emotional..so better stop..later other get emotional as well..not good..the only good thing is i decided to move on and let go after so long..but the thing bugging me is wat in the future lies for me..on a last note..hope that 緣分 will allow me to be together with a special someone..

sometimes i wonder if referees are in conspiracy with Mr jose or not..they give soft penalties in chelsea's favour in a match full of controversies eg. the flashing of red card to essien and the lampard stamping on alonso..and of course the penalty..the referee robbed liverpool of a win..hai..only consulation is torres scored a superb goal on his anfield debut..i lazy to put a youtube clip..haha..so there will not be a clip..but last nite the big 4 were all winless..with chelsea and liverpool drawing with each other, arsenal drawing with blackburn and man u lost to an amazing man city, which leaves the red devils 5th from bottom and one goal scored in 3 games..bad results..haha..

oh well..enough about soccer..today i bought a copy of the newpaper and under a section called net buzz, i encountered an interesting erm..wat do u call that..writeout maybe..

Sunday nite
i thought he was acting wierd.
we had made plans to meet at a cafe to have coffee.
i was shopping with my friends all day long, so i thought he was upset that i was a bit late, but he made no comment.
i asked him wat's wrong.
he said 'nothing'.
on the way home i told him i love him. he simply smiled and kept driving.
when we got home, i felt as if i lost him, as if he wanted nothing to do with me anymore.
he just sat there and watch tv; seemed distant and absent
finally i went to bed.
i cried will i fell asleep
i'm almost sure that his thoughts are with someone else.

week in review..

hi..
this week started off with my voice being coarse..can hardly speak..coughing the whole week ..but thankfully it got better now..at least can talk already..itching to sing liao..haha..

well..this week i wasted 20 dollars on a stupid communication book..which is small in size and have no colour except on the cover..well..沒辦法..it is a requirement..sometimes it make me wonder if the school and the publisher have a conspiracy that earns profits from the sales..well..one thing for sure..another lecture notes textbook..written by the ruthless LTT and Dr youtube..i dun believe that they dun get any benefits from the sales..so it is rather obvious that i bought that book as well..

today i had been struggling on tutorials on digital electronics and circuit analysis (wat had the world become? kw working on tutorials..) now to the pt on y i say the lecturer is ruthless..imagine attempting 4 qns.. in 6-7 hours..and u can barely solve one qn..well if u think tutorial 1 was hard..think again..

another thing that happened this week..i went for the ntu pool trail..i was astonished by the no of pple that turned up..bout 100+..10 times more than last year..真的嚇到..this year's trail was about clearing 5 balls.. one in the centre of the table, one on headstring, one on footstring and two on respective ends..basically it is 5 balls in a straight line at the across of the length of the table..believe me..it is not easy to clear the balls..but somehow i cleared with one cue..till now..still couldn't believe i had done that..haha..talking bout pool..i had also been looking at cues recently..haha..want to get a new one..hopefully the one below..but it is kinda out of budget..

i am goin to tell a story..a real story..which i heard from my father's old classmate..
this person is a boss of a company..there is this worker (no $$ for guessing his race)..so this guy will work for 2 months..then go on 'leave' for a couple of weeks(MC, compassionate blah blah blah)..so the boss was actually pissed(who wouldn't)..so he asked the worker wat happened..this is one thing i respect these pple..they can come up with 101 reasons without goin through their 良心..saying family members go hospital, child sick..watever..so on one occasion, the worker called the boss..to ask him for leave..say his son in SGH intensive care..oh yes..i forget to mention that the boss has 2 children..both are doctors..so the boss actually got one of the children working in sgh ICU..so he asked for the name of the patient..and he will ask his son to look after the patient..but the worker couldn't give a name..
if u think that is the end..nope..it is not the end..on another occasion, the worker called the boss at 2 am in the morning..saying his father has to go to ttsh A&E, asking for leave..but unfortunately, the other son of the boss was the doctor of TTSH a&e and concidentally he was also on nite shift that day..so the same story again..asked for the name..unable to name..yup..so after a while..the worker was sacked..

so if u want to geng..geng smartly..but geng is not good..boss are not stupid..they just let u off..

recently wat's happening to me..well..nothing much actually..usually i am at home watching drama on crunchyroll(damn good site)...for those who do not really know me..i really like to watch drama..esp tvb drama..haha..but there is one kinda lame thing..i am watching a show that is orginally in manderian which is dubbed in canto..haha..that show is 雪山飛狐..which cast from hk like gillian 方中信 and 朱茵( still looking as good as ever..haha)..not bad la..the only lame thing is in canto..which is orginally chinese..

well..it has really been a while since i watched a movie..the last movie i had watched is spiderman..that was like 2 months ago? yup..so i missed out pirates, oceans, fantastic 4 and i really do not wish to miss transformer..wat to do..life of a single is like that one..hai..

nothing goes right..as usual..

well..today is a day that nothing had worked out right for me..
went to the high com in the afternoon wanted to get the form to renounce the citizenship..wasted time there..cause i never bring the letter of notification there..but that was my fault..nothing to be frustrated about..well..the frustrating thing is all services is at the same queue and when i asked the person about the form and anything i need to produce..she never said anything but to ask me to join the long queue..well..so i queued lor..waited for about 45 mins..then to my frustration..that person did not entertain me because i never bring the letter..stupid system..can't they just give me the form..somemore the form had to be typed written..and the worse thing is i need to go back at least 3 more times..if everything is working right..well..missing one item means u have to start from step 1 again..well..this is malaysia goct..malaysia high com and their immigation services is very ****ed up..if i want to list them out..i probably need a few pages..so if u think singapore's ICA is very sucky..think again..

that was in the afternoon..then at nite..i met kh to play pool..and my bad luck continued..when i pocket the 9 ball..i will scratch..just to put it simple..had a bad day..
that's not all..when i came home..i took like half an hour just to connect to the internet..crazy..
well..i hope tom will be a better day..

warning..not for the fainted heart..

this was one of the best race i had seen in F1 in recent times..it was eventful..22 drivers started the race..but only 12 made it to the checkered flag..action started at the 1st lap 1st turn of the race in which alonso exp some brake failure..during lap 29, there was a horrific accident invloving robert kubica, where he crashed into the walls at 300+ kph, resulting in the car spinning and disintegrated..but luckily, the driver only suffered a broken leg..amazing..this race had the safety car appearing on 4 occasions..and of course a marvellous syncronised spinning and the honda mechanics having coffee break..the race ended with a 22 year old rookie driver winning on just his 6th grand prix..wat a race!! can't wait for f1 to come to sg..

i guessed that most of u out there will noe wat is anything and watever..unless u never see those ads around singapore bus stops..so..i decided to buy a can of watever and a can of anything to try(their marketing stradegy worked..) i realised that u will not know what is inside until u open up the can..stupid of me to actually look around the whole can to look for wat kind of drink is it..lol..
whoever thought of this have really good marketing ideas..watever and anything are pet phrases of many local youngsters..creating it into drinks is really smart..
maybe u can try the drinks..but to me..i would still prefer a red can of coke..haha..

watched the match last nite or rather this morning..90 mins wasn't enough to settle the score..extra time and a shootout was required..disappointed with the linesman decision..dirk kuyt's goal at extra time should be allowed..no doubts about it..but well..he scored the winning penalty..and Reina was the hero again by saving 2 penalties..

come 23rd may 2007..the lyrics of the song may be changed from 'in istanbul, we won it 5 times' to 'in athens, we won it 6 times'..sound funny though..but as a red fan..hope that this will be the case..haha..

19th jan 2007 part 2..

hello..
just as soon as i posted my last post..bout half an hour ago..
i went to resume my life science online tutorial..yes..this is the tutorial of a module that watever they want in the tutorial does not appear in the lecture notes..so wat if it is mcq..
went to edventure and resumed..to my astonishment..i was told that i completed and submitted the tutorial..but the fact is that i never did any of these..stupid system..ok..fine..so i went to reattempt the tutorial..and all my answer were gone!! so i have to start again..hai..flip lecture notes(as if got used)..see wiki..get pissed again..u get wat i mean..
one more thing that i really dun understand is that..wat the **** that a EEE or CEE or MAE or MSE or watever E that does not have a thing to do with bio..(unless otherwise chosen..)have to take this stupid module which have a stupid online tutorial system..and late posting of lecture notes..this implies laziness on the part of the department..so this further adds to injustice of our high school fees..in which i must remember to pay on time this time..hai..
someone pls help me with life science!!! 神來救救我吧!!!

took a break for the past 4 days..lazy to write la..haha..
now i am back with this update..today had been a very shag day(like which school day is not a shag day..hmmz..)..received comments that i should not be so pessimestic.. but..wat's there really to be optismistic about..okok..i try la..can?

got really quite pissed with 174 today..(i wonder which day did 174 didn't make pple frustrated?)waited half an hour in the morning then finally one came..but if u think that's it?..nope..it is not over..in the evening bout 4 when i was goin home..3 174s came in a space of 15-20 mins..no kiddin..so..wat's really sbstransit doin? like in the rush hours..no buses available..and in really off peak..yes..offpeak hours..set buses to such a high frequency..injustic in the transport fare hike!!..haa..

another injustice that undergrads are suffering is really lacking of quality teaching staff..be it tutors and lecturers..of course there r really good ones around..no doubt about that..i had talked about how lousy the 1st sem's organic chem lecturer is..well..一山還有一山高..in a bad way..imagine a tutor talking to the laptop during tutorial..wtf!! &*(#$..no..this is not 夸張..those in the 1st row cannot even hear him talking..i can do a much better job and take a fraction of his pay..that was wat happened in my 1st ever tutorial session in this sem..oh yes..and he is a ah tiong doin phD in NIE..so i wish all the best to the future of singapore..talking to laptop..really ultimate..well..i was lucky that this is still the add drop period..so i went to change the tutorial class immediately after that session..hope the other will be a better one(well..how can any one be worse that talking to laptop..)..
another case of getting annoyed is by this particular indian international( i am trying to be nice..)..well..this did not occur to me..or else there will definitely be conflicts..it occur to another person..well..this particular indian international happens to be an accquantance(spl?) of my friend..so..after one mth of holiday and seeing each other in the lecture hall..it is right to say hi to him..no matter wat his nationality is..ok..so guess wat did this indian international did? his first words to my friend was wat's ur gpa..so my friend(he did ave btw)..guess wat did this foreigner said..he said "i got 4.9"...wtf!! so wat if u got 4.9..dun need to go around saying to pple..of course my friend was pissed..and that ah nei was lucky that he was good tempered..if it was me or someone else..i dunno wat will happen..haa..so much for the lack of foreign 'talents'..these talents i rather not have.. discrimination against foreign talents? i suppose this is the reason..

decisions really make me very fickled..

it is very rare for me to do a fourth update in 4 days..so pple..pls do not complain that i never update my blog..today has not been a very nice day..cause the sky can't seem to stop crying..hope there will be a better tom..at least dun cry so much..haa..

today i made a rash decision..i accepted the offer to do an accelerated program..surprised? a slacker like me finish a degree in 3 and half? u gotta be kiddin..actually i chose the 3rd option..逃避.. i accepted the offer..try to see if it is suitable for me, which i am really very pessimistic about it..then here comes the qn..how come making decisions can make me become really fickled? well..this was one of the partial reason y i accepted the offer..to stop me from thinking too much..as i heard from somewhere, the more u think..more ideas will be made..and hence more options will be available..well..y must i make the decision today..hmm..cause today is the deadline..y so rush? i am getting sick of complaining about the ntu system liao..so yup..that's the whole idea..
for those who did not understand wat the heck i am writing above..dun..cause they basically means that i accepted an offer to accelerate and not decelerate..that's all..

today is fri nite..that means weekend is here..should actually be happy..but unfortunately..i am far from that..maybe no plans this weekend ba..well..this shouldn't be surprising for a 孤單的人..

hi..

this is rare..to see a slacker like me to put 3 post in 3 days..hope this is a good start..
well..a brief account on wat i did today..wait..i did nothing much today..except that today i got pple asking me bout maths tut(eh..friend..can relac or not..lol)..obviously i haven't did any la..haa..

slept over 10 hrs last nite..hmm..kinda made up for the lack of sleep for the past couple of days..but talking bout last couple of days..usually in the past..i only needed 4 hrs of sleep..but now..despite having 5-6 hrs..i feel very tired in the day..well..dunno wat happened..maybe 人老了就是這樣..

today is one of the rare days that i did not step into school..walk that stairscase, climb up hill..y i didn't go school..hmm..it is not very wise to spend 4 dollars on transport(refer to 2 post ago on my opinion on public transport) to school just to attend one stupid lecture where u noe u will not listen to..any sane person will not do that..well..at least for me..haha..

hi..

well..this is the 1st time i actually done a post in 2 consecutive days..
woke up this morning..saw julio baptista of arsenal scored a 6th goal against liverpool..devastated..went back to sleep..then went to school..skipped the 1st lecture(partially delibrate)..went to ang moh's lecture..that guy is sure interesting..lol..and ended the morning with a physics 吹眠曲..and in the afternoon..i actually sat through a 3 hours astro lecture!!(but this lecture almost had my life..was fighting the Z monster throughout..)well..this basically sums up my boring wednesday..

oh yes..talking bout the astro lecture..this is definately the 1st lecture in ntu that i really felt that i am in singapore!! 80-90% singaporeans? compared to the core lectures where the ratio is easily cut by half.. nope..no kidding..no exagaration(spl correct?)..it's true.. one more thing..the stars at that lecture is way better than the stars in the ntu system..i have to say this yet again..stars is a total crap..they better improve it..

well..i really dunno wat to write already..it seems that i am always crapping..better stop before i crap more..

hi..it's me again..
it's been a long day of lectures..4 hrs back to back then followed by another hour and half in the afternoon..welcome back to school..2nd day only..and i am really shagged out..not a very good sign..haha..

it's a new year..a new beginning..new lecturers..new modules..new tutorials..new pple..new everything..but the same old s*** still starts all over again..photocopy notes..get lost in school..see ah tiongs again :( (mind u..really make me wonder if i really in singapore or not..)..crowds at lunchtime..wake up at 6 am..have not enough sleep..squeeze 179..wait for the stupid 174..hmm..talking bout public transport..price hike is really unreasonable..so wat if u compare to other countries? their public transport r more ex than sg..but u have to consider the cost of their cars and other vehicles..it is way cheaper than sg..ok..fine..nvm the tranport hike..today i took a train to boon lay(dun ask me y i took train..maybe frustrated at waiting for 174)..i was stucked at the escalator goin down for bout 5 mins..if they noe that this is the last station..they should make another escalator goin down or make a staircase which is wider..wonder wat those damn civil engineers r doin..or i suppose they are only interested in making money and profits and money and profits..

another organisation that really cannot wake up their idea is ntu..stars is a total crap..the system is very cock up..and they build the admin office on top of the hill..recently there is the subject registration using stars..well..during the window when the stars are opened, it is the only time that u can register for subjects and also this is the only time that u can freely adjust ur timetable to one that is fit for students to go study..so since they noe that there will be a massive amount of pple goin online to do this stuff..y can't they increase the bandwidth of the server so that it will not hang or jam during this period..this is of course annoying to each and ecery student..imagine a module with only a couple of vacancies..u choose the slot and put ok..then while waiting forever for the page to load..u hope for the slot..but in the end came out error, page could not load or something like that..it will really make u tear ur hair off..haa..well..all i can say..stupid admin..stupid system..welcome to ntu!!

well..all those s*** really demotivate u to go to school..esp for a 孤單的天蠍座 like me..really nothing much to look forward to..hai..

someone(in fact more than 1) says that i am too slack..becoming a bad influence to them..well..all i can say is i will try to improve..(重點是try..)

i watched death note 2 yesterday..it was a nice show..how i wish i had half the brain of L or Light..they r really damn smart..

guess i wrote a bit much..haha..all craps i suppose..well..kw is facing with another problem..should i accelerate and complete the degree in 3 and half years? or should i just decelerate and relax(if got time)? i really dunno wat i should do..will update soon..or else pple will say i slack too much liao..
