法證先鋒II - Forensic Heroes II

Synopsis:
Every contact leaves a trace
Every clue serves as a silent witness against crime

Bomb disposal expert Yeung Yat Sing (Kevin Cheng Ka Wing) returns from England to visit relatives and he comes across a grenade case by accident. With his tactful and level-headed approach, Sing is highly appraised by Senior Chemist Ko Yin Pok (Bobby Au-Yeung Chun Wah) and is being invited to join the Forensic Division. In a little while, Sing becomes the division’s rising star. By work, Sing gets back in touch with his long-lost best friend Koo Chak Sam (Frankie Lam Man Lung). Sam serves as a forensic writer and he is going to get married soon.

Accidentally, Sum’s fiancée Lam Ding Ding (Linda Chung Ka Yan) is killed in an explosion and Pok’s police girlfriend Leung Siu Yau (Yoyo Mung Ka Wai) also loses the ability of holding a gun in the incident. Yau’s duties are passed to Ma Kwok Ying (Charmaine Sheh Sze Man) from the Narcotics Bureau. Both Sam and Sing find Ying extremely charming with her smart and unfathomable characteristics in case handling.

Integrating laboratory techniques, logical reasoning, and forensic knowledge, the trio strive to fight against crimes tremendously. As they get to know each other more and more, the entangled triangle of love also starts to hinder their working relationships…

just finished watching this series a couple of days ago..overall..i find it nice..basically..this is a sequel to forensic heroes I.. glad that they kept most of the cast and not make a sequel with totally different actors and actresses..Survival Law 2 is one such example..though it was not bad..though i prefer Survival Law I..okok.. let's not sidetrack.. frankly speaking..i actually like watching these kinds of shows..it's fun guessing who is the murderer or wat is going to happen next..but..it is always hard to guess from the beginning..because they would make the murderer 'hidden' somewhere during the start of the case..quite typical of such shows actually..but hey..they have to make it this way for pple to continue watching..

Watching this show actually gave me an insight about forensic and have an idea of how things actually works...Forensics are subdivided into many different subsections.. Forensic pathelogist is one of these sections..in the show..Frankie Lam plays a pathelogist..basically his job is to look at victims and uses medical knowledge to analyse the situation.. other sections includes digital forensic, dentistry forensic and many other departments..basically they all have the same objective..that is.. to gather evidence and use them as 'witness' to the crime commited.. Bobby Auyong plays a senior officer under the forensic department..his role is rather serious actually..quite contuary to that of his funny character.. the forensic departments uses various labratory techniques to analyse the evidence available.. matching DNA, footprints, surrounding evidence are some of the techniques they use..

overall, this is a nice show..one more reason for this show to be worth watching is the producers included Charmaine Sheh into the series..this made the show even better..haha..
i give it an 8 out of 10..
